Migration Guide

How to migrate from Stocky.

With Stocky APIs shutting down on 31 August 2026, preserving the records you need matters. This guide outlines what native Shopify covers, what requires manual intervention, and how Invastokk's manual importer handles supported exports.

What Native Shopify Preserves

Moving entirely to Shopify native inventory? It robustly supports transfers, purchase orders, inventory adjustments, POS workflows, location visibility, supplier records, and inventory history. If your workflows are straightforward, this is a strong foundation.

What Does Not Move Automatically

Your historical Stocky purchase orders and stocktakes will not move automatically into Shopify. More importantly, supplier records cannot be exported directly from Stocky, requiring manual preservation before APIs stop working.

Exporting Your History

Before 31 August 2026, export the data you need to keep. After this date, merchants have read-only access for at least 90 days, but APIs will be turned off. Ensure your products, old POs, adjustments, and reports are backed up.

The Reality of PO Imports

Shopify's native CSV PO upload process allows you to add product line items to a new draft PO. However, historical POs cannot be imported into Shopify with their full statuses, received quantities, or original supplier links.

What to preserve

Products and locations

Keep the identifiers, variants, barcodes, location assignments and stock position needed to map the new operation.

Suppliers

Capture supplier details separately because Shopify states suppliers cannot be exported from Stocky.

Purchase orders

Export the historical records you need, including statuses, received quantities and supplier context where available.

Stocktakes and transfers

Preserve completed count, adjustment and movement history needed for operational reference.

Reports and adjustments

Export the Stocky reports and adjustment history your team uses for audit and analysis.

Workflow decisions

Document who orders, receives, transfers, counts and reconciles stock before configuring the replacement workflow.

The Invastokk Manual Importer

Stocky APIs stop working on 31 August 2026, removing the route for ongoing API synchronisation. Invastokk instead provides a proven manual importer built for transitioning away from Stocky.

  • We import supported Stocky exports into Invastokk through a controlled manual process.
  • Preserved records and separately collected supplier details are mapped into the agreed Invastokk structure.
  • This is a one-off transition route to preserve operational continuity—not a live sync.
  • Once complete, Invastokk connects directly to Shopify as your live, long-term operations hub.
