The facts of the transition

Confirmed Transition Date

Shopify confirms that Stocky will not be available after 31 August 2026. APIs will be disabled. They instruct merchants to transition to Shopify admin and POS, export retained data, and prepare their staff.

Read-Only Access Grace Period

Following 31 August 2026, Shopify says merchants retain read-only access to export their Stocky data for at least 90 days. Exporting important records before the deadline remains the clearest option.

Shopify Native Inventory

Shopify native inventory is a capable successor for many. It supports purchase orders, transfers, inventory adjustments, POS permissions, supplier records, and inventory history. For some operations, this built-in capability is perfectly sufficient.

When does Stocky completely stop working?

Stocky is retired and its APIs will cease functioning on 31 August 2026. Read-only export access continues for at least 90 days after this date.

Will all my Stocky data automatically appear in Shopify admin?

No. While current stock levels reside in Shopify, historical Stocky purchase orders and stocktakes do not automatically transfer into Shopify admin. Supplier records cannot be exported from Stocky.

Can I import my old Stocky purchase orders into Shopify?

Shopify's native CSV PO upload adds product line items to a new draft PO, but it cannot import historical received quantities, statuses, or supplier links.
